Happy Thankful Thursday!

My mind is full of Christmas - so get ready for the Christmas posts to start next week. Im currently working out my tablescape, it’ll be very different to this one. I can’t wait to share what Im doing Saturday night to kick off the holiday season.

This week Im grateful for:-

1. Going out for dinner with Em and Mitch.
2. Cleaning my Christmas Shed and getting out the boxes I want to use (I try to use my old decorations with a few new adds each year)
3. Tony fixing up the turf around the entrance to the secret garden.
4. A chat with my bestie on her birthday
5. Enjoying my homegrown basil on a pizza made from scratch. It was so delicious.

This week’s simple pleasure is for those lucky ones in the cooler climates.

October is for cozy moments. Whether it’s getting lost in a good book or curling up with a favourite movie, there’s nothing like a little downtime to enjoy the simple pleasures. Hot tea, soft blankets, and all the cozy vibes.

This is where I love to read, its comfy and quite and gives me a good view of the beautiful wallpaper in the master bedroom.

I think I’ll pump the air con up and pretend its nice and cold here for an hour and enjoy a good read and a nice hot tea.

As part of my wellness journey, I’ve been embracing the Cottagecore lifestyle—right here in the city!

I used to live this way when Em was a baby and we only had one car. Home was everything, I made lots of clothes for her, sewed all our curtains, thrifted and cooked all our own meals. When we moved back to the Gold Coast, things were so much busier and I moved away from those traditions that I now realise are central to who I am.

Rediscovering this has been a beautiful way to slow down, find peace in simple pleasures, and reconnect with a more intentional way of living.

Cooking meals from scratch 🍞🥧, thrifting vintage furniture and homewares (something I’ve been doing for as long as I can remember), starting my own little herb garden, every step feels like a mindful retreat from the fast-paced urban life.

I’ve also been diving into old-fashioned crafts like needlework 🧵—which not only lets me create beautiful, personal touches for my home but also helps me practice mindfulness and creativity.✨ The cross stitch in the pic is one I did years ago.

It’s all about finding little ways to create a sense of coziness and nostalgia. You don’t need a countryside cottage to live this lifestyle—just an open heart and a willingness to slow down and savour the moments. 🌸

Happy Thankful Thursday!

Another fab week in the Kelly Household.

Em and Mitch finally got to move into their new home which is so exciting for them.

What a big year it’s been for my two treasures. Getting married, a fabulous honeymoon - now moving into their first home 🤍🤍🤍🤍

This week I am grateful for:-

1. A fun night spent with friends celebrating multiple birthdays. There was good food, games and loads of laughs.
2. Getting some jobs down around the house on Saturday but approaching Sunday as a rest day. It was fantastic!
3. Having an awesome morning firstly filming with my bestie for Ladelle then enjoying great food and conversation🥰
4. The cutest trees ever for my Christmas village
5. Getting some stitching done with my bestie. We just love this new tradition.

I’m starting to plan for my Christmas but not ready to pull the pin just yet. Maybe on the weekend???
