I love this quote and in the spirit of it I will be unplugging for a few weeks to see if I will work again 🤪.

With the patio renovations taking a while I don’t feel I have anything interesting to share at the moment so its the perfect time for a break. Hopefully I will have a lot of progress to share with you when I come back.

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. This week I am grateful for:-

1. The help we received from family and friends to move the LARGE cabinet out to the patio.
2. Sharing some toasties for lunch with the Lockharts and my BIL.🥪
3. A visit from Emy and Mitch💕💕

5. A lovely long chat with my bestie🥰

The thing I love most about cooking when entertain

The thing I love most about cooking when entertaining is making a beautiful dessert.

One of the easiest to make look great is a trifle (at least until you dig in for the first time then it looks like mush 🤪). Its the layers for me.

The one thing I don’t like about trifles is that they are usually very large. This recipe though is a small one perfect for 4-6 people. You can double it of course to make a much bigger one. It also has a delicious cheesecake layer🤤

Happy Thankful Thursday!

I’m trying really hard to embrace to joy of doing nothing. I’ve always been someone who needed to be “busy” to feel worthy especially when I cut back on full time work, but over the last few years I’ve realised that there is a lot of value in doing nothing. Recharging and time to think clearly have been two of the big benefits for me. Are you good at doing nothing???

This week I am grateful for:-

1. Em’s kitty Artie coming to stay for the weekend.
2. Catching up on some Housewives with Emy when I took Artie home.
3. Stitching with my bestie.
4. Going out with Tony for a yummy dinner and watching a school production of Footloose at the Casino which was really great.
5. Morning tea with a neighbour.

I’ve got a quiet day today so will make the most of the nice weather - apparently a lot of rain is coming tomorrow. Not good news for our backyard reno 🤦‍♀

How cool is this pic of Big Ben in London? We had been to high tea at the Library that had a view of Big Ben before this pic was taken. What a great experience that was.

This week I am grateful for:-

1. I fun morning in Canungra for the @thevintageandcountrybrocante and a visit with Tony’s dad;
2. A long chat with my bestie;
3. A great Friday doing very little but reading, relaxing and chatting with my SIL.
4. Getting some more painting done on the patio. There always seems to be something to be painted!!!
5. A chat with my girl❤️❤️
6. Making a start on the top of the cabinet. Im so excited to get it finished.
7. A good workout at the physio.

Crisp black, soft grey, lush green, and bright white. A 12-seater table for long lunches, a fireplace that feels like a hug, and seating so comfy it practically says “cancel your plans.”

We’ve had another good week in the Kelly household.

We’ve made some more progress with the outdoor space although the rains have come and will put that on hold for a while now!

This week I am grateful for:-

1. A great catch up with Dad, Wendy, Emy and Mitchy🥰🥰🥰
2. A fun day out doing the Scenic Rim Food Trail with the Lockharts❤️❤️
3. An overdue catch up with a friend from school😍😍
4. Getting the turf removed ready for the paving to be done.
5. Finally getting to my ironing pile along with some mending👏

Sunday well spent on the Scenic Rim Food Trail with the Lockharts.
The sun was shining, the flowers were blooming and every stop was a delicious little adventure. From fresh produce to handmade treats, we ate, patted animals and soaked it all in. Grateful for good friends and great food!

Happy Thankful Thursday everyone! Sorry I’m a bit late. I got into cleaning and forgot what day it was 🤪

We’ve had another weekend getting some work done on the patio but also slipped in some fun. This week I am grateful for:-

1. An overdue catch up with a friend.
2. Evie coming back to spend another week with us unfortunately her adoption fell through but she got spoilt with lots of cuddles with us.
3. Having a yummy dinner out with Dad and Wendy and a couple of friends.
4. A burger board shared with friends catching up by the fire and then going through travel pics - always fun.
5. Emy and Mitch calling in for a catch up ( love these little surprises🤎🤎)
6. Getting our wall finished after a monumental effort on Sunday.
7. A nice long chat with my bestie.
8. Being able to get groceries delivered🙌
