Step-by-Step Assembly Guide

Step 1: Layer the Dry Ingredients in the Jar

Begin by layering each ingredient in the jar to create a beautiful, layered effect. This makes the jar visually appealing and gives a peek into all the delicious ingredients.

1. Flour layer: Pour in the flour and baking powder. Press down gently to create an even layer.
2. Rolled Oats: Add the rolled oats on top of the flour mixture, levelling it to keep the layers neat.
3. Sugars: Add the brown sugar and gently press it down, followed by a layer of white sugar.
4. Spices: Layer on the Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

Baking Instructions for the Gift Recipient

The instructions included on the card should read:

Triple Chocolate Cookies

1. Preheat oven to 160C°F (320°F).
2. Mix the contents of the jar in a large bowl with 115g melted butter (cooled or it will melt the choc chips), 1 egg, and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
3. Roll tablespoons of dough into balls and place on a large baking sheet lined with baking paper.
4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden but slightly soft in the centre.
5. Allow to cool on tray for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.

Tip: Each jar makes about 18–20 delicious cookies!
