Spring Tablescape for Father’s Day
I had some fun doing a casual spring tablescape for Father’s Day this year.
I’m not usually a huge fan of the colour yellow for decorating. Not sure why especially because I like to wear yellow!!!
Anyway I found some gorgeous napkins at TKMaxx that sparked the whole colour scheme. I had previously ordered some new cutlery and decorative ginger jars from Figs and Feta and really wanted to use them too.
Instead of my usual white tablecloth I decided I would use a white and blue striped linen throw for a more casual feel
If you have been following along with me for a while you would know that I love using vintage items in my tablescapes. I love the way they instantly make a table feel relaxed and comfy. Thats how I want my guests to feel ❤️. It’s rare for me to set a very formal table.
On a recent trip to the Sunshine Coast I found an old timber toolbox which was the perfect centrepiece. I also added two faux garlands, one with sunflowers to bring in the yellow and add that spring vibe.
To keep with the yellow I used some beautiful glasses I had purchased earlier in the year. I think the whole look turned out beautiful and it was perfect for the day.
If you’re interested in more simple tablescapes I have a tropical themed one that I did for my daughters birthday.
