Budget Entryway Spring Refresh
Now I don’t normally decorate for the seasons. For me once I style a room or a space I will leave it that way until I’m sick of it. With so many projects going on I don’t like wasting money constantly changing my decor. As things were in a bit of a mess around the house with all the work we’ve been doing on the shed. I wanted to make something feel pretty and clean!!!🤣
So I decided to do a budget entryway spring refresh. I love the saying “shop my home” and thats exactly what I did. I was able to do this refresh without spending a lot of money.
The console needed a good clean and I took the chance to move it away from the wall to clean behind it.
The first thing I started with was my star piece. I decided to bring my Providence Urn from Figs and Feta out here from the dining room. Next I added some new floral pieces and pink was my colour of choice because its my favourite. Early Settler has beautiful faux flowers at reasonable prices so I picked up a few stems. A little hint to making your faux flowers look more real is to make sure you bend them in difference directions so they have a more natural fall.
I found a large pink candle at TKMaxx and used some decor books I already had.

As some further new decor items I found two little lidded jars at an op shop for a total of $10. One was green and pink already and I thought it matched well with my theme. The other one was a creamy colour with an old floral decal. Solution some pink chalk spray paint and it now matches my theme. I love the matt finish of it too. The vintage boxes were used on the console before.

At the bottom of the console I used the two baskets that had previously been there. I use these baskets to store magazines I haven’t read.
I wanted to use a bird cage that I had previously purchased but I thought it looked a bit dark. So again I brought out the chalk paint in white.

All up for the candle and the flowers it cost me $68.00. Add to that the cost of the paint I spent $104.00 for this little transformation. I also have a lot of paint left over for other projects.
