Happy Thankful Thursday! I love this quote and in Happy Thankful Thursday! I love this quote and in the spirit of it I will be unplugging for a few weeks to see if I will work again 🤪. With the patio renovations taking a while I don’t feel I have anything interesting to share at the moment so its the perfect time for a break. The thing I love most about cooking when entertain The thing I love most about cooking when entertaining is making a beautiful dessert. One of the easiest to make look great is a trifle (at least until you dig in for the first time then it looks like mush 🤪). Its the layers for me. The one thing I don’t like about trifles is that they are usually very large. This recipe though is a small one perfect for 4-6 people. You can double it of course to make a much bigger one. Happy Thankful Thursday! I’m trying really hard t Happy Thankful Thursday! I’m trying really hard to embrace to joy of doing nothing. I’ve always been someone who needed to be “busy” to feel worthy especially when I cut back on full time work, but over the last few years I’ve realised that there is a lot of value in doing nothing. Recharging and time to think clearly have been two of the big benefits for me. Are you good at doing nothing??? This week I am grateful for:- 1. Em’s kitty Artie coming to stay for the weekend. 2. Catching up on some Housewives with Emy when I took Artie home. 3. Stitching with my bestie. 4. Going out with Tony for a yummy dinner and watching a school production of Footloose at the Casino which was really great. 5. Morning tea with a neighbour. I’ve got a quiet day today so will make the most of the nice weather - apparently a lot of rain is coming tomorrow. We had been to high tea at the Library that had a view of Big Ben before this pic was taken. What a great experience that was. This week I am grateful for:- 1. I got into cleaning and forgot what day it was 🤪 We’ve had another weekend getting some work done on the patio but also slipped in some fun. This week I am grateful for:- 1. An overdue catch up with a friend. 2. Evie coming back to spend another week with us unfortunately her adoption fell through but she got spoilt with lots of cuddles with us. 3. Having a yummy dinner out with Dad and Wendy and a couple of friends. 4. A burger board shared with friends catching up by the fire and then going through travel pics - always fun. 5. Emy and Mitch calling in for a catch up ( love these little surprises🤎🤎) 6. Getting our wall finished after a monumental effort on Sunday. 7. A nice long chat with my bestie. 8.
