The Joyful Celebration Studio: A New Chapter in Slow and Meaningful Celebrations
There’s something very special about gathering people together.
Over the years, our home has become the place where family and friends naturally gather. We’ve celebrated birthdays around the dining table, hosted long lunches in the garden, created Christmas tables filled with candlelight and conversation, and welcomed new babies with afternoons full of cake, laughter, and love.
If you’ve been part of A Joyful Ordinary Life for a while, you’ll know how much I value creating a home that feels warm and welcoming. Not perfect. Not extravagant. Just thoughtful, comfortable, and filled with genuine connection.
Over time, I found myself hearing the same words again and again:
“I wish I could create something like this.”
And slowly, without really realising it at first, those words planted the seed for what I’m sharing with you today.
Introducing The Joyful Celebration Studio
Today, I’m so excited to officially introduce The Joyful Celebration Studio — a boutique mother-and-daughter celebration studio created by Emily and me.
This new chapter feels incredibly special because it brings together so many things we both love: thoughtful celebrations, beautiful details, meaningful gatherings, creativity, and family.
The Joyful Celebration Studio has been created to help people host beautiful celebrations without the pressure, overwhelm, or expectation of perfection.
We believe celebrations do not need to be extravagant to feel memorable.
Often the moments people remember most are the simple ones — gathering around a table at home, sharing food, celebrating milestones, and making the people you love feel truly special.
That is the heart behind everything we create.
Celebrating Without the Overwhelm
The idea for the studio grew naturally from the way we already celebrate in our own lives.
Over the years, I’ve learned that creating a beautiful atmosphere is less about perfection and more about intention. A thoughtfully set table, soft lighting, homemade food, a carefully chosen colour palette — these small details create warmth and connection.
But I also understand that many women feel overwhelmed by entertaining.
They want gatherings to feel beautiful and memorable, but they don’t always know where to start or how to pull everything together cohesively.
That’s exactly why we created The Joyful Celebration Studio.
We wanted to offer celebration collections that feel elevated yet achievable. Beautiful but still personal. Carefully curated while still allowing you to make them your own.
Thoughtfully Curated Celebration Collections
The Joyful Celebration Studio will offer a small range of thoughtfully designed celebration collections throughout the year.
We’re intentionally keeping things boutique and carefully curated.
Our collections will include:
- Beautiful digital celebration suites with editable invitations, games and signage
- Curated celebration boxes thoughtfully designed for effortless entertaining
- Coordinating games packs and guest add-on bundles
- Styling guides and step-by-step set-up inspiration
- Future local celebration support and add-on services, including themed cakes
Everything is designed to help make hosting feel simpler, calmer, and more enjoyable.
Because creating meaningful celebrations should feel joyful — not stressful.
Our First Collection: The Woodland Storybook Collection
Our very first collection is called The Woodland Storybook Collection and will be released on July 1 2026.
This collection features soft neutrals, natural textures, subtle woodland details, and a calm, timeless feel.
Designed for neutral baby showers, the collection blends thoughtful styling with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels beautiful without being overly formal or complicated.
From soft ginghams and layered textures to storybook-inspired details, every piece has been included to help make celebrations feel meaningful, cohesive, and easy to bring together.
And in what feels like the loveliest way to begin this journey, the very first event styled using The Woodland Storybook Collection was Emily’s own baby shower.
It feels incredibly special to begin this new chapter by celebrating our own growing family

A Boutique Approach to Celebrations
One thing that feels very important to both of us is creating a studio that remains intentional.
The Joyful Celebration Studio will stay small, personal, and thoughtfully curated.
We’re not interested in chasing every trend or creating celebrations that feel overly styled, formal or unrealistic. Instead, we want to create collections that feel timeless, welcoming, and genuinely usable in real homes.
While we’re incredibly proud of our Woodland Storybook Collection, it’s only the beginning. We’re already working on future collections for bridal showers, birthdays, and other meaningful occasions. Each collection will be released carefully and in limited quantities so we can maintain the thoughtful approach that matters so much to us.
A Joyful New Chapter
Creating meaningful gatherings has always been part of what a joyful ordinary life looks like to me.
The Joyful Celebration Studio simply feels like a natural extension of that — a way for myself and Emiily to share our love of thoughtful celebrations with others.
We’re so excited for this new chapter and truly grateful to have you here alongside us as it begins.
